Spoilers in Disappointment
By Harv Aronson
It's nearly over for the Pittsburgh Pirates. This weekend is the MLB's final three days before the playoffs and the Bucs will play three more and come home until the next season begins.
What the Pirates can do this weekend is play spoiler. The St. Louis Cardinals who they play are just one game behind the last wild card spot trailing the New York Mets and San Francisco Giants in that order. The Mets are playing in Philadelphia while the Giants finish at home against the Dodgers.
2016 has been terribly disappointing for the Jolly Rogers and moves were made that will be questioned this entire off-season. It's a season Andrew McCutchen will certainly want to forget. Come Sunday night, Pittsburghers and Black and Gold fans everywhere can start focusing in on the Pens and Steelers who are certainly headed for bigger successes this season than what the Pirates accomplished.
